The Malaysian jokester delegated 'World's Funniest Person' in 2016
Malaysian professional comic Harith Iskander has been delegated the "World's Funniest Person" in 2016. The BBC's Heather Chen addressed the 50-year-old entertaining man by phone after his success in Levi, Finland.
No less than one individual is giggling as 2016 attracts to a nearby. This year has turned into the time of web pain and images yet for Malaysian satire ruler Harith Iskander, it's all around great.
"Everything revolves around how you think back on it," he says. "My responsibility is to see the entertaining sides of life and present it in a silly manner.
"I appreciate Western satire is prepared to hear the voice of an Asian joke artist, I have a Malaysian voice and style of parody."
Iskander beat four different finalists to be named the most amusing individual on the planet by US satire club chain Laugh Factory, which has facilitated parody greats like Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle as well as American moderator Jay Leno.
